Capital projects, market shocks, and AI adoption: each comes down to how leaders handle risk. Earn The Right Podcast is a series of high-impact conversations, hosted by entrepreneur Apoorv Agarwal. It draws candid insights from current and former energy, infrastructure, and technology leaders, as well as other executives. Each episode covers leadership, decision-making, and the application of AI at scale.
Over two seasons, the podcast has featured guests like Tyler Goodspeed (Chief Economist, ExxonMobil), Aleida Rios (Former SVP and Global Head of Engineering, bp), Lucretia Löscher (COO, Big Dutchman), and Joel Moser (Founder and CEO, First Ammonia).
The series grew out of Agarwal’s own experience as a founder. “The idea came while I was reflecting on my journey at Text IQ,” he says. “We were coached by the world’s best executives, yet when we had a successful exit, the glory went to the founders and investors.”
Seeking to shift that spotlight, Agarwal launched the series to return the recognition to the executives actually co-creating the future. “It’s been enriching to sit down with them and learn what leadership means outside of B-school, how they navigated key chapters of impact and crisis, and how they’re adapting in the age of AI.”
A standout episode from season two features Aleida Rios, formerly of bp. She and Agarwal discuss how AI can reduce risk in capital projects, why energy poverty persists, and why standardization is needed to scale energy infrastructure.
Now heading into its third season, Earn The Right Podcast has released 11 episodes, bringing together leaders from varied industries including finance, housing, pharmaceuticals, and marketing. Guests also include:
For anyone building or funding energy and infrastructure, the podcast is a close look at how senior leaders think, decide, and adapt.
